Airframe & Machining R&D
Here are some past restoration projects with descriptions of the procedures.
This is a before image of a worn out airbox core off a 1969 Cessna 177 Cardinal. You can see all the patch and mend w/excessive rivets from previous repairs.
The top shows a hidden & dangerous fragmented upper body that has sustained vibration effects after removing the mounting collar.
Modification repairs reveal newly welded body material to upper collar/flange area and sides to fit new inner valve & seals.
The finished product looks far stronger giving material integrity & smooth functioning inner valve components for lasting operation & confidence.
